COVID-19 vaccine update (22 November 2021)

After receiving the Community Care Services Worker (Restrictions on Access) Directions from the WA Chief Health Officer on 5 November 2021, Workpower has implemented a number of new measures including establishing a COVID-19 Vaccination Policy.

New measures

The new measures are to ensure the health and wellbeing of its employees, the people who we support and the wider community.

The key change is that anyone accessing a Workpower facility from Wednesday 1 December 2021 will need to provide proof of their first COVID-19 vaccination. Proof of full vaccination will be required from 31 December 2021.

This includes all Workpower employees, community participants, visitors and contractors entering any of Workpower premises (including Workpower owned vehicles).

What this means for anyone entering Workpower facilities

All Workpower employees and customers of Workpower’s site-based community programs have been asked to provide proof of their vaccination status to our General Manager People & Culture (Melissa.Cook@Workpower.asn.au) ahead of Wednesday 1 December 2021.

Any visitors and contractors who visit Workpower sites, will need to present proof of vaccination upon arrival from Wednesday 1 December 2021.

If you do not present proof of partial/full vaccination you will not be able to enter any Workpower facilities.

If you are exempt from receiving the COVID-19 vaccination, you’ll be required to provide proof of exemption to Workpower (either in advance if you regularly attend a Workpower site, or upon arrival if you visit irregularly).

Workpower is aware of its obligations under the relevant privacy legislation and will ensure that any information collected and stored is only used for the purpose of complying with the relevant Directions and that all reasonable steps are taken to prevent unauthorised access, misuse, or loss of this information.
