Get your career in gear with SHEP

Get your career in gear with SHEP

The July school holidays are coming up and you know what that means. If you’re looking for work experience and support towards your future career, then we have just the thing for you!

Our School Holiday Employment Program (SHEP) is the starting point for your journey towards a dream career.

SHEP is unique to all other programs as we tailor activities to each person and their employment goals. You will get the chance to:

  • Get career advice from employers and industry specialists
  • Develop your employment skills and knowledge
  • Learn about customised employment and the discovery process
  • Find out how to start your own business

Craft your own industry experience

What makes our program extra special is the unique work placements we offer. We work with you one-on-one to identify goals and an industry you’d like to explore. From here, we find local opportunities for custom work experience.

You will be supported during the placement as you work with employers and assist with real work tasks.

Our April participants got hands-on work experience in industries like retail, childcare, administration, and more!
