Taking out gold in the Breaststroke event and silver in Freestyle and Butterfly has rightfully given Blake a tremendous sense of pride but this isn’t the first time Blake has achieved success in the pool.
Back in 2013 he won gold at the Asia Pacific Games in the 25-metre Backstroke.
“I won a gold medal for Australia, I am proud of myself for that. And then I just kept on going on and on and on to different places, and I just kept on winning gold,” said Blake.
Swimming is a big part of Blake’s life having been training for 17 years… 18 come Christmas.
“Swimming is my favourite sport. It keeps me fit, keeps me motivated. Yeah, I love it,” said Blake.
Now Blake has his eyes set on the National Competition in Tasmania that will run in October 2022. “If they pick me, I am off to Tasmania next year… to win gold again,” said Blake.
