With only a few weeks to go before show day, we’ve received some wonderful news! Lotterywest will sponsor Once Upon A Time, which means we’ll be able to put on a grander show than ever before! Here’s what the grant will go towards and why this show is a good chance to get involved with your community.
Help spread the word
Once Upon A Time will be a night to remember for everyone involved. The talented actors, dancers, singers, and artists will showcase their skills on stage in front of a crowd of supportive family and friends. We’ll have song, dance, and some great magical skits to get immersed into. After a year of rehearsals, practicing choreography, and memorising lines, there’s no doubt it’ll be unforgettable show!
To pull this off and give our performers the best environment to showcase their work, we reached out to Lotterywest to support our community event. And we’re delighted that they’ve given us their support!
Now, we’re able to put on a show unlike ever before. This community grant allows us to host the performance at the Curtin Theatre at John Curtin College of the Arts. It’s a prestigious venue for many art, theatre, and dance performances, and offers all the sound and lighting effects that will make this show so special! The facility also has an accessible ramp and is specifically designed to accommodate wheelchair access.
The funding also goes towards:
- Art materials for the performers to create the background props
- Magical costumes and character accessories
- Extra rehearsal dates at Curtin Theatre, so the actors can get used to the stage
A big thank you to Lotterywest for helping us put on a grand show to celebrate our participants!
