Music Rocks set to roll at the Newport Hotel

This is your last chance to catch the Music Rocks band in action this year! They will light up the stage on Sunday 9th December at the Newport Hotel in Fremantle. What better way to celebrate IDPwD 2018 than to see our guys rock out on stage?

It’s been an incredible year of rockstar performances from our participants of the Music Rocks program. This will be their fourth and final concert for 2018, and they’re set to end the year with a bang. Don’t miss this opportunity to see our seasoned performers in action!

Building their skills

Past shows have seen a great turnout from families and friends, and at a number of trendy live music locations like MojosBadlands Bar, and the Rosemount Hotel. These shows allow our performers to get used to playing in different settings and crowds.

With each concert our rockstars grow more comfortable and take ownership of the stage. The Newport Hotel boasts one of the best live music stages in Perth, and it’s a great way to finish off the year on a big high!

Our program run with Music Rocks Australia has been a huge hit with our participants for some years now. Art, crafts, and music aren’t just great hobbies – they provide a platform for developing confidence, focus, and self-esteem.

We encourage everyone to try everything and don’t give up, and we’re always impressed by how well they take on the challenge! Some performers find a liking to an instrument and get to really hone their skills through each weekly workshop.
