We’ve summarised the latest updates and what you need to know below.

Assistive technology for telehealth services

Online supports and telehealth services are a way for participants to continue their supports while staying at home.

The good news is that participants can use their capacity-building funds for equipment and technology to access these supports. This includes items like fitness equipment and smart devices up to $750.

New assistive technology is also available for participants affected by COVID-19 to access safe short and medium term accommodation.

You can now access our community and employment supports online as well. From cooking and workout routines, to building skills for employment, we’re here to help you work towards your goals.

The new Price Guide has introduced cleaning services and additional supports for those diagnosed with COVID-19. Additional supports can be claimed each day from the date of infection until the person has recovered. These SIL additional supports apply until the end of September.

Increased price limits

From 25th March the NDIS introduced a 10% price limit increase to help participants continue accessing the supports they need. The 402 items under Core and Capacity Building are available with “Increased COVID Loading” until further review on the 30th September.

Online Access Request available

And for those looking to apply to the NDIS, you can now do so on their website. This can be done through a Verbal Access Request or by filling out the form.
