A number of significant updates were introduced in this version. This includes changes to price limits for Supported Independent Living (SIL) and psychosocial support coordination.
One of the most important changes includes a new pricing model for employment support. We will cover this and other updates in detail today.
New employment support pricing
Instead of weekly, supports will now be charged according to hourly rates based on the days of the week and time of day.
More options are also available for transport to and from supports in the community. This allows participants more flexibility and control over their supports.
Supported Independent Living (SIL)
From July, price limits will now be applied to SIL based on the time of day, day of the week and support intensity. This process is under review and there will be no changes to existing plans until the end of the plan’s 12 month period.
Psychosocial recovery coaches
A new Support Coordination option was introduced to provide additional support for participants with psychosocial disability. This will take over the Support Coordination role and help them build capacity, resilience, and independence over a period of time.
Other changes include new Individualised Living Options for alternative living arrangements.
The increased flexibility and support options will further assist participants and families to get the supports they need. To assist you in navigating these changes, get in touch with us and our team and help.
The previous Price Guide update included a number of changes in response to COVID-19 which are still in effect.
