Reuse Market Open Day returns this Saturday

The Reuse Market Open Day is back! In partnership with the City of Canning, this popular community event returns to the City’s Waste Transfer Station this Saturday, 21 August from 8am. This is a great opportunity to find bargains and reduce waste, whilst supporting people with disability.

What can you find at the market?

The Workpower team and City of Canning have put together a wide variety of items for resale, including but not limited to:

  • Garden tools
  • Toys and sports equipment
  • Collectables and vintage items
  • Indoor and outdoor furniture
  • Hardware and construction items

With items starting from 50 cents, there’s something to suit the whole family. And remember, if you don’t manage to find anything, you can visit our recycling shops at Tamala Park and Balcatta. Our team receive a wide selection of secondhand goods for resale each day, so you never know what treasures you could find.

Recycling for the community

All items are good quality donations, which helps the community to reduce waste and recycle sustainably. As a result of our successful recycling partnerships, Workpower has diverted over 4,300 tonnes of waste from landfill from the Balcatta Recycling Shop in the last 12 months alone.

As a not-for-profit NDIS provider, all profits earned by Workpower go towards supporting people with disability. This includes providing employment opportunities for employees like Rhys to develop new skills, connect to the community, and build their careers.
