Daily Living Skills

We have 30 years’ experience delivering quality support and connecting people with disability and helping them connect with their community. An important part of that is assisting individuals to expand their daily living skills.

Together with families, carers and people with disability, we explore and design the best support options to suit you. Creating independence is important for everyone. Our experienced support coaches work with people with disability, their families and carers to identify and develop the daily living skills needed in order to be independent. Our supports also include building skills in social and community participation and developing employment experience.

Our team can help you look after yourself, your home and your belongings through developing skills that:

  • Create good exercise habits

  • Help you with your nutrition

  • Sets hygiene as a number one priority

Self care

Whether its learning what items cost, or making a budget and sticking to it, we can help you learn in fun and exciting ways.

Budgeting

We support people with disability to learn how to get out into the community through public transport training or assistance with getting a licence.

Transport and access

“Getting my licence means everything – it means I have way more independence and not having to rely on others. There were times where I wanted to give up, but the support of my family, my support coach John and workmates at Balcatta encouraged me to keep going. I couldn’t be more proud of myself, and I bought myself a new car to celebrate.”
