As an organisation committed to the highest standards of professionalism and integrity, and ever-mindful of our work with diverse and sometimes vulnerable communities, Workpower maintains strict standards across our business.

This policy has been developed to provide a practical guide to prevent abuse in Workpower’s programs. It outlines a range of risk management strategies that will be implemented which will reduce the risk of children and or vulnerable adults being harmed.

Child Protection and Vulnerable Adult Policy

The purpose of this policy is to set out a code of conduct to govern the decision and actions of employees in the course of their duties.

Furthermore, Workpower’s code of conduct is to ensure that employees behave in an acceptable manner in all their work-related dealings with supported employees, participants, families, advocates, colleagues, employers and/or other agencies and the general community.

Workpower respects the privacy of its employees, participants, members, suppliers, contractors, customers and volunteers. Information is managed in accordance and compliance with the Commonwealth Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.

This policy has been developed to provide a practical guide for which people with disability can access Workpower’s services and supports. The policy has been framed around the Disability Services Act, the National Disability Service Standards and the National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013.
