Blake recently had the chance to share his story at the WA Police Academy, where he talked about his journey as an athlete and his involvement with the Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR). His passion and enthusiasm left a lasting impression on everyone there, inspiring them to join the cause and support people with intellectual disabilities.

Meet Jeremy, the administration whiz at Garden Island’s Defence Administrative Assistance Program (DAAP). With five years of experience, Jeremy is a key member of the DAAP team. From reception duties to scanning documents and record archiving, Jeremy handles it all. But what sets Jeremy apart is his exceptional customer service skills.

With a decade of dedication under his belt, Blake’s journey with us began straight out of school, thanks to our School Leavers Program. Over the years, Blake’s skills have blossomed as a Horticultural Worker. From mastering tools like the blower and the pallet jack to making deliveries in our trusty truck, Blake has become a pro at plant care and his knowledge of plant species has truly flourished!

Michael’s Workpower journey started in Osborne Park after school, then led him to our Malaga Packaging and Warehousing team. Now, he's taking on a new adventure at the ‘Yum Yum Café,’ where he and his fellow superheroes serve up delicious food and smiles with every order!

Meet Jason, a Workpower legend who has been part of our Malaga team since 1992! You read that right: Jason is one of Malaga Packaging and Warehousing’s first employees and proudly celebrated 30 years at Workpower in 2022.

Keeping his town clean is one of many passions for this Special Olympic gold medallist! In our recent conversation with Ethan, we uncovered his diverse skills and achievements at Workpower’s Property Care team.

James is a local superhero who juggles his role at Workpower with his entrepreneurial business. Working attentively in the Kalgoorlie property care team, James performs various tasks, including mowing lawns and paths, hedging, and applying plant poison. James takes pride in maintaining outdoor spaces using tools such as a lawn mower, hedger, and spray pack.

Milly is a superhero in our Recycling team! She works at two of our Recycling Centres, at Tamala Park and Balcatta. Her role is to ensure that recycled items are prepared for re-sale at our Reuse Shops and waste products are processed for recycling.

Ryan is a local superhero who contributes his talents to Workpower Geraldton’s Timber Manufacturing and Property Care team! He effortlessly juggles his two roles with ease, enjoying the challenge and learning the different skills they offer.

Michael's days are filled with testing fire hoses, ensuring they meet safety standards crucial for firefighters. Having recently acquired his Heavy Rigid (HR) license, Michael’s responsibilities extend to delivering the tested hoses to fire stations across Western Australia, a task he really enjoys.

Mandy is a visually impaired Paralympic swimmer and a Supported Employee at Workpower Bentley. She showcased her determined spirit and swimming skills in the Virtual Rottnest Swim held on Saturday, February 24th.

Disability Services Minister Hon Don Punch MLA presented a Lotterywest grant of $247,500 to Workpower. Following the transfer of seven Activ Foundation businesses to Workpower last year, Workpower grew its administrative, and quality and safeguarding teams to ensure consistent high-quality services continue to be delivered across a much larger organisation.

With a contagious enthusiasm, Claire digs a little deeper into her role as a Horticultural Worker at Workpower's Plant Nursery.

Claire’s day-to-day activities consist of watering plants, weeding, assisting with plant selection, and stock movement for clients. She ensures each species blooms under her care.

Customised Employment: For six years, Thomas has been a Workpower Customer, and recently, he decided he wanted to expand his horizons and learn a new employable (and enjoyable) skill. This decision lead him on an exciting journey into the world of coffee!

Starting her Workpower journey at our Rockingham site over 20 years ago, Jennifer initially helped to run the site’s canteen before leaping into the wonderful world of Textiles.
