Introducing: Electric Emma!
Meet Electric Emma, she’s electrifyingly great at every job she does!
Emma is the heart and soul of Workpower’s Kalgoorlie site and in her world, every day is a new adventure. We recently caught up with her and delved into her role and some future aspirations.
A local to Kalgoorlie, Emma said that she attended school in the area and gained work experience at Workpower after leaving school. Her work includes confidential document shredding, assembling Fitpacks and marker banners, and occasionally delivering those Fitpacks to the local hospital, a job she finds particularly rewarding.
Reflecting on role, Emma expressed pride in her progress, “I’ve come a long way, and I’m very pleased with myself for how far I have come. Putting together Fitpacks is the main job that I love,” Emma shared.
When asked about her favourite aspect of working at Workpower, Emma beamed “Everyone’s lovely here, gentle and kind. We’re happy people here. Laughter and happiness, that’s my favourite thing about working here.”
Looking toward the future, Emma said aspirations extend beyond the workplace, as she eagerly participates in local theatre, playing multiple roles in the production of Peter Pan.
“I’d like to be an actress, or a secretary, or I would like to be a psychologist and help people out.”
Emma wrapped up the interview with thoughtful advice to people wanting a job with Workpower; “Just be yourself! Everything is okay no matter what you go through; you are not alone.”
