The return of Captain Kadin!

He’s back! Have you heard of Captain Kadin?

As a member of Workpower Kalgoorlie’s Property Care team, Kadin tackles a variety of tasks, from outdoor gardening to cleaning duties, using tools like cutters, whipper snippers, mowers, leaf blowers, and sprayers to maintain customers’ outdoor spaces.

But Kadin’s story isn’t just about the work he does, it’s about the personal growth he’s experienced through employment. When he first joined Workpower, he was shy and reserved. Over time, with the support of his Employment Support Coach, Haylee Soloman, Kadin has come out of his shell.

“Kadin was shy and wouldn’t really talk at first, and now he’s second in charge and teaches the boys lots of things. His confidence is just amazing,” Haylee proudly shares.

From a quiet team member to a confident team leader, Kadin’s transformation is nothing short of remarkable. Now, he’s a mentor to his colleagues, taking on new responsibilities and stepping into a leadership role that showcases his growth.

When asked what he enjoys most about his job, Kadin simply replied, “Lots! Work is good here; I’ve made friends and get to help people.”

Earning a wage is a point of pride for Kadin, but the friendships that he has formed at work, mean just as much. Kadin enjoys being part of a team and engaging in conversations with his mates, a transformation of who he was in the early days of the job!
