Another Milestone for Michael!

Michael has been on an incredible journey since joining Workpower, and we are thrilled to share his latest achievement!

After making significant skills growth in our Fire and Electrical team, Michael has been offered and accepted a position in open employment at Workpower Bibra Lake.

In this new role, Michael will continue doing what he loves and earning a professional salary. This is a significant milestone in Michael’s career development with Workpower and shows that his dedication and hard work haven’t gone unnoticed.

Michael’s promotion demonstrates the opportunities that Workpower provides for employees to gain valuable skills and experience that can lead to open employment roles.

Since transitioning to the Fire and Electrical team in July 2022, Michael has been testing and delivering fire hoses across Western Australia. His Heavy Rigid (HR) license has opened doors for new challenges, taking him on exciting road trips to towns across Western Australia.

We caught up with Michael and his Manager, Bill, about life as a Fire and Electrical technician.

Michael’s journey shows that through roles at Workpower, NDIS participants can develop the skills and experience needed to step into professional employment. We can’t wait to see what he achieves next!
